FlexClip Review: Is this Video Editor Right For You?

FlexClip Review

A couple of weeks ago, I somehow stumbled on this video editing software called FlexClip and decided to give it a try. Before FlexClip, my favorite video editing app was Filmora. Thus, in this review, I will compare FlexClip with my experience using Filmora, Camtasia as well as other video editing apps I have used in the past.

If you are trying to figure out which video editor you will use for your next project, I will recommend you go through this review first and then decide if FlexClip is for you or if you need another editor. Since I'm not in any way affiliated to FlexClip, this will be 100% honest and unbiased review. Whatever action you decide to take at the end of this review is completely up to you.

·         Name: FlexClip

·         Type: Video Editor

·         Owner: PearlMountain Limited

·         Price: Starts at $4.99/month

·         Rating: 4.8/5

What is FlexClip?

FlexClip is a new online video editor app developed and marketed by a company known as PearlMountain Limited. According to the company, they have been focused on the research and development of graphics and multimedia software since 2006. The company also claimed that their products have users in over 100 countries. I haven't been able to verify this though. Nevertheless, their recent product which is FlexClip is fast gaining acceptance among bloggers, Youtubers, and even social media marketers. It is completely online so you don't need to download the software.

FlexClip makes it easy to edit a video or put video clips together with background songs, texts, icons, and animations. This app makes it extremely easy to create marketing videos as well as other type of videos by leveraging available templates. It is also super beginner-friendly.

How Does FlexClip Works?

You can get started with FlexClip by visiting their website. I'm a software developer. Thus, my first impression of the website is that it was well-made. There are no clutters and it is very direct to the point. On the website, you could see various templates you can use to make your own videos. You can preview these templates just by hovering your mouse over them.

I was also impressed that FlexClip offers a free account registration. Of course, the features you can access on a free plan is very limited. However, it gives you a chance to test their product to see how it works. I have seen other video editors that won't offer you a free trial. It is definitely a plus that FlexClip is allowing users to use a free version of the app. Note that videos created on this plan comes with a watermark especially when you use their images and stock photos. You definitely do not want watermark on a video you intend to use professionally. This means you will need to upgrade to one of their plans.

Subscription Plans

FlexClip comes with 4 subscription plans which include:

·         Free

·         Basic

·         Plus

·         Business

With free plan, you can only do 12 projects with each video project lasting just one minute. Additionally, your video will be watermarked. You can do 50 projects when you upgrade to the Basic Plan which costs $4.99 per month. The Plus Plan costs $7.99 per month and you can do 200 projects while on this plan. Apparently, it is their most popular plan. The Business Plan allows you to do 1000 projects maximum and videos that are as long as 30 minutes.

FlexClip comes with a good number of interesting videos. Some of the features I found very interesting while editing the video include:

Stock Photos and Videos

To be honest, FlexClip has a good number of stock photos and videos. You may not even need to look elsewhere for your stock photos and videos when you upgrade your subscription to the Plus Plan or Business Plan. I created a short video and I found all the videos and images I wanted to use on the platform. It is a great way to save time. This is a feature that is lacking in tons of other video editors I have tried in the past. It is definitely something that can help you to create a professional video whether you are a beginner or expert.

Record Your Voiceover

There is a feature to record your voiceover. You can easily record yourself narrating your video. There is even an additional feature that allows you to record your screen and edit them with the app.

Video Resolution Options

There are various video resolution options. You can choose 480p, 720p, or 1080p, it is up to you. I think FlexClip did well by offering you various options. This way, you can create a video in a resolution that fits your needs perfectly.

Other features I like on FlexClip include rotating your videos, planning the scene, trimming videos, splitting videos as well as zoom in and out of scenes. You don't need any special tutorial to master these features. You can definitely figure them out on first try.

What I Like About FlexClip (Pros)

The Interface

The use interface is what simple and straightforward. You can easily create an account on the platform. If you already have an account, finding your way to the features you need is a breeze.

Ease of use

This video editing app is very easy to use. I figured it out in less than 10 minutes. I even created a video within 5 minutes of creating my account on the platform.

Competitive Price

At just $4.99/month for the least price and $19.99/month for the highest subscription plan, FlexClip is without a doubt a steal. Similar apps cost more even with less features. The price is very competitive for anyone. If you are not sure if the app is for you, go ahead and create a free account to give it a try before upgrading.

Templates

There are tons of templates you can edit to suit your needs. Additionally, these templates can give you an idea for your videos.

What I Don't Like About FlexClip (Cons)

Fade Effect Missing

One cool effect I would have loved to see on FlexClip is the fade effect at the end of the video for both the video and the music. Unfortunately, this is currently lacking. I hope they add it soon. Other than this, the app works great. You can still make great videos despite this one single unavailable feature.

Should You Get FlexClip?

Yes! FlexClip is an absolute must if you love editing videos fast and easy. Besides, at the price, it is almost a steal. FlexClip is far ahead of other video editing apps in the same price range. You can get this app for making your marketing videos. You can even use it to offer freelance services and make money online. Click here to create your free account and check out how it works!
